The Nike Book 1 has had many exciting colorways released in 2024. The storytelling given to Devin Booker’s first signature shoe has been impressive. The Nike Book 1 Sunrise launches at Shoe Palace stores and on shoepalace.com this October 10.
Sunrise
The Sunrise colorway is inspired by The Valley of The Sun. It reflects the beauty of an Arizona sunrise. Booker is honoring his Phoenix Suns with this design. There is a soft pink upper with subtle orange accents.
Book 1
The Nike Book 1, besides having a really cool name, is one of the more exciting basketball shoes released from Nike in a while. The shoe has a stacked Cushlon 2.0 foam midsole.
It also has a strong TPU sidewall for extra support. There is a top-loaded Nike Zoom air bag in the heel. The outside has a workwear inspired canvas and twill upper adds durability.
There is a suede collar and genuine leather across the forefront. The shoe has a deliberate broken in feel. The heel was inspired by a book spine, with numbers referencing chapters in an ongoing story.
Inspired By Icons
The Nike Book 1 took inspiration from a variety of iconic sources. It is inspired by the Air Force 1, the Blazer, and Air Jordan 1. Automobiles also helped shape the creation of the shoe. The 72 Chevy Blazer K5 helped shape Book 1. Storytelling and legacy were important in creating Book 1.
