The WNBA is hotter than it’s ever been. While young players are getting a lot of attention, the best player in the WNBA is A'ja Wilson. Learn more about Wilson below.

A'ja

Wilson was born August 8, 1996. She is from South Carolina. As a child, Wilson looked at being an author or illustrator. However, her height, and basketball skills, were impossible to ignore. Her father played basketball in college and professionally overseas. He was impressed by her skills but was even more awestruck with her passion and dedication to getting better at her craft.

Pro

The Las Vegas Aces selected her with the number 1 pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. The Power Forward would win Rookie of the Year for her first season in the league. In 2020, Wilson was named the MVP of the league. Wilson has the ability to impact the game on the offensive side of the ball, and the defensive side. She has a soft touch, which when you mix with her length, makes her a nightmare for defenders. She would win her second MVP award in 2022. Her squad, the Aces, has consistently been one of the most talented teams in the league the past few seasons. With all that talent, Wilson is still the leader and its best player.
