The Start

Flair showed athletic prowess throughout his youth. He had a diverse list of interests when it came to taking part in athletics. Flair competed in wrestling, football, and track. He had a tough childhood, that included him being adopted at a young age. Flair had the chance to play football in College, but he instead decided to pursue a career in wrestling. Professional Wrestling was a passion for him very early on.

"The Nature Boy" would come up in the wrestling world with legends like Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant, and the Iron Sheik. His big personality and ring prowess allowed Flair to stand out early on. Being adopted, Flair grew up humbly. The Nature Boy character he would develop for wrestling was obsessed with flashy clothes, jewelry, and expensive cars. His wrestling persona was also a womanizer and lover of nightlife. Flair’s real life would mirror his alter ego, blurring the lines between reality and entertainment. He would struggle in his private life with multiple marriages and his wild lifestyle.

Hall Of Famer

Flair would wrestle in the NWA and WCW in his long career. He would make a huge impact on both wrestling companies. In 1991 he would join the WWE for the first time. It would be a short but impactful stint, and Flair would then rejoin the WCW where he continued to be an important part of the company. In 2006, he would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

With his "Woooooooo!" catchphrase and memorable promos, Ric Flair is an all-time performer. His legacy lives on as memes, YouTube clips and with his daughter, WWE superstar, Charlotte. Ric Flair is one of the all time greats.
