What is Klarna?

Klarna is a payment service provider that takes end-to-end responsibility for your payment on eligible Shoe Palace online purchases. Klarna’s services allows Shoe Palace to offer you the ability to make purchases now and pay for them later to Klarna.

How do I use Klarna?

Just shop ShoePalace.com and checkout as usual. If your shopping bag is eligible for a Klarna payment method, then the option to use Klarna as a payment method will be presented at checkout.

Where can I use Klarna?

Klarna’s payment methods are currently only offered on eligible purchases made on ShoePalace.com. Klarna’s payment methods can’t be used as a form of payment when shopping our retail stores.

How do i manage upcoming payments to Klarna?

You can create a Klarna account and log in to the Klarna website or Klarna mobile app to get an overview of your purchases, view your upcoming payments and settle your due payments with Klarna.

What forms of payment can i use on Klarna?

Klarna currently accepts all US-issued major debit and credit cards (i.e., Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Discover). Please note, prepaid cards are not accepted.

What are the Full Terms and Conditions of using Klarna?

When you opt to use a Klarna method of payment, you agree to the terms and conditions of Klarna’s applicable Pay Later service under the Klarna Pay Later Agreement or the Klarna Pay Later in 4 Agreement.

ORDER ELIGIBILITY

Is there a minimum that I must spend in order to use Klarna?

Yes. Your shopping bag of eligible items must be at least $1 in order to use a Klarna payment method at checkout.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction using Klarna?

Yes. Your shopping bag of eligible items must be between $1 and $1,000 to use a Klarna payment method at checkout.

Can I use other methods of payment if I want to use the Klarna method of payment?

No. You can’t use multiple payment methods to pay in part for an order where you want to use the Klarna method of payment. Klarna must be your sole payment method.

I see Klarna available at checkout, but why is the option grayed out?

All items in your shopping bag must be eligible to qualify for Klarna. Current restrictions include:

  • Your order must be placed and shipped within the US.
  • You can’t use multiple payment methods. Klarna must be your sole payment type.
  • Your order must be at least $1 and can’t exceed $1,000.

When do I know I’ve been approved to make a purchase using Klarna?

Klarna may approve or deny your use of a Klarna payment method to make an online purchase with ShoePalace.com. You’ll receive an instant approval decision on your order at checkout.

If you are not given the chance to use a Klarna payment method, you can use an alternative payment method to complete your purchase. If you are interested in using Klarna for future online orders with ShoePalace.com, please reach out to Klarna’s customer service team to discuss options. Klarna and ShoePalace.com are committed to responsible spending and not all orders will qualify to be offered, or approved for, a Klarna payment method at checkout.

Can I use Klarna if I’m an international customer?

No. Klarna is only offered and made available to ShoePalace.com customers who have a US billing address, a US shipping address, a US mobile phone number and a US-issued major credit or debit card (i.e., Mastercard, Visa, AmericanExpress, Discover). Customers with international billing addresses and/or phone numbers will not be able to set up an account with Klarna.

Is there a minimum age requirement for using Klarna?

Klarna is only offered to customers who are at least 18 years old.

KLARNA PAYMENTS 

How does the Klarna payment schedule work?

For Klarna’s Pay Later or Pay Later in Installments payment methods, your payments will automatically be processed on the due date. Once ShoePalace.com has shipped your order, Klarna will send you an email with future due date(s) and further payment information.

If you chose the Klarna Pay Later payment method, you’ll have 30 days from when ShoePalace.com ships your order to pay Klarna the full amount of your purchase.

If you chose the Klarna Pay Later in Installments payment method, the first payment is charged to your credit or debit card entered at checkout and each subsequent payment is, in installments, automatically charged by Klarna to the same credit or debit card.

Will I be notified by Klara when a payment is due?

To help yourself make payments on-time to Klarna, you can turn on notifications through the Klarna website or Klarna mobile app to receive payment reminders from Klarna by email, text and/or push notification at least two days before payment is due.

Can I move or change Klarna's payment due dates for an order?

Depending on the payment method you’ve chosen when making the purchase, you might have the option to make an earlier payment or change the due date of your statement and pay later.

Log in to your Klarna account on the Klarna website or Klarna mobile app and select the statement you would like to pay earlier or pay later and see if the option is available for that purchase. If not, then it is not possible to change the date for that statement.

What happens if I don’t timely pay an Klarna installment?

If you make a ShoePalace.com purchase using a Klarna payment method, you don’t pay anything extra when you pay on time according to your payment schedule with Klarna.

If funds are not available at the time payment is due or you otherwise do not make payment when it’s due, depending on the Klarna payment method used, late fees or interest may apply and you might be blocked from using Klarna’s payment methods in the future.

GENERAL QUESTIONS 

How do I return an item purchased using Klarna?

To return items purchased using Klarna, follow ShoePalace.com standard return process and return policy. We encourage you to mail in your returns of items purchased using Klarna so that your refund syncs up with your Klarna account. If you mail in your returns to ShoePalace.com, the refund will be made from ShoePalace.com to Klarna and when this refund is processed, it will drop into your Klarna account, which can be accessed on the Klarna website or Klarna mobile app.

Refunds from any other returns of items purchased using Klarna will not be applied to your Klarna account and even if you receive a refund from ShoePalace.com for such a return, you remain obligated to pay your Klarna account in full.

Can I exchange or receive a store credit or cash refund for returning an item purchased using Klarna?

Exchanges, store credit and cash refunds are not available for items purchased using a Klarna payment method.

When will my items be delivered if I used Klarna to purchase the items?

Where Klarna is used on a ShoePalace.com order, items will be delivered in accordance with our standard shipping policy.

Can I modify an order that I used Klarna for?

Once Klarna has approved use of a Klarna payment method for a ShoePalace.com online order, order details cannot be modified and items can’t be added to the order. You’ll need to place a new and separate order if you’d like to purchase additional items.
