Luka
Luka was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1993. His father played professional basketball in Slovenia. His godfather played many seasons in the NBA. At the age of 8, Luka was playing on youth teams. When he was 13, he signed a five year deal with Real Madrid. He made his professional debut at the age of 16.
NBA
When he was 19, he would enter the NBA Draft. Dončić was selected by Atlanta with the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, before having his draft rights traded to Dallas in exchange for the draft rights to the fifth overall pick Trae Young and a future first-round selection. Luka would go on to win the Rookie Of The Year award for the 2018-2019 season. Luka put up historic numbers for a player of his age. Record numbers when it comes to scoring and triple doubles.
Skills
Luka is one of the most unique players in the league. He is a 6’7 point guard who can dominate with his passing and scoring. His size and strength make it nearly impossible for smaller players to guard him, and his quickness makes it difficult for bigger players to stay in front of him. On top of all of that, he is a tremendous shooter from long range.
