The Start
Mark William Calaway was born on March 24, 1965. He is from Houston, Texas. Growing up he took an interest in many sports, including basketball. A sport that fits perfectly with his nearly 7 foot height. He would take an interest in wrestling in the mid-1980s.
Survivor
“The Phenom” made his debut at Survivor Series in 1990. His talent and charisma were evident early on. The Undertaker clicked with fans quickly. He was being put in matches with the likes of Hulk Hogan, who was then the main guy in WWE, as a young pro wrestler. The WWE believed in The Undertaker, and he would prove them right over and over again for decades.

The Undertaker was one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the 1990s, winning multiple world championship titles in the decade. Deadman was a trailblazer in his career, which is one of the reasons why he stands out today. He was in the first-ever Casket Match at Survivor Series 1992, the first-ever Buried Alive match in 1996 and the inaugural Hell in a Cell Match in October 1997. Possibly his greatest achievement was winning his first 21 matches at WrestleMania. He would start out 21-0 at the biggest wrestling event of the year. His career would end at Survivor Series on Nov. 22, 2020. He would retire at Survivor Series exactly 30 years to the day he first appeared in a WWE ring. Although, he would still show up at events from time to time. Most recently in 2023.

The Undertaker is a legend in the world of wrestling. His attire, “Dead Man” persona, skills in the ring and epic entrance have made him one of the all time greats. WWE stars don’t get much bigger than The Undertaker.
